General Electric moves to secure its Alstom bid

After Mitsubishi and Siemens made a joint bid for France’s Alstom, General Electric, which is also fighting to enter Alstom’s graces, is trying to secure it’s former bid to buy the French company’s energy assets.

Although the US company does not intend to increase its money bid, GE does guarantee to create 1,000 jobs in France negotiate several issues, one of which is Alstom retaining access to it nuclear technology.

General Electric’s plan is to be presented today to the French government and to unions.
