FIFA partners poured money during the World Cup

The Football World Cup in Brazil was not only a sports and social large event, but also one that involved large amounts of money coming from sponsors. Sportswear companies and others were among the most visible brands and most interested in investing during the final tournament.

Important brands from various fields invested millions of dollars from 12 on June to 13 of July and official partners of FIFA had a better exposure. The battle between Nike and Adidas went on with a surprising result. Marketing research company Global WebIndex carried out a study on more than 1,100 people and the results were surprising When it comes to sportswear companies, Nike had a great marketing campaign. More than 30 percent of those involved in the study called the company an official sponsor, despite the fact that its arch-rival Adidas is FIFA's partner.

Nike, Samsung, MasterCard, Pepsi and Subway can be happy. These famous brands were identified by all participants as “official sponsors” despite they were not. The reason is actually simple. All these companies had aggressive marketing campaigns before and during the World Cup with the main goal being football.

According to the same source, the Brazilian people were the most exposed to marketing campaigns. Brazil's run at the final also helped and sponsor poured money into marketing until the last day of the competition.
