
Turner Prize nominees announced
Tate announced today the nominees for UK's most prestigious prize for artists under 50.
Tris Vonna-Michell, Ciara Phillips, James Richards and Duncan Campbell were nominated for the 30th anniversary edition of the Turner Prize.
The artists are all involved in media creation, including film, video and the spoken-word. Three of them graduated the Glasgow School of Art.
“The four shortlisted artists share a strong international presence and an ability to adapt, restage and reinterpret their own and others' works, very often working in a collaborative social contexts,” said Penelope Curtis, who is the director of Tate Britain and the chairman of the jury.
The exhibition will take place in London during September 30 – January 4.
The winner will be announced on December 1.
