'Order of time and things' in Madrid
MADRID - The Museo Reina Sofía presents "The order of time and things". That is placed in home studio of Hanne Darboven.
The exhibition reveals the peculiar home studio of this German artist. Her home is located in Hamburg.
Hanne Darboven (Munich, 1941- Hamburg, 2009) was a conceptual artists whose art is based on the geometrical drawing, the numerical series, the image and, especially, the writing.
The exhibition displays plenty of pieces from the artist’s studio, exhibited for the first time in a museum from the artist’s studio. It was the setting in which Hanne Darboven worked. The exhibition does not aim to recreate the studio in its entirety.
This event also includes numerical writing projects, musical compositions and calendar sequences.
Darboven seems determined to hold back time and reconstruct it, by meta-architectures.
The exhibition is organized by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Deichtorhallen Hamburg - Sammlung Falckenberg in collaboration with the Hanne Darboven Foundation and the Goethe Institut.
