Mummy family reunited
A joint Swiss-Egyptian team of archeologists discovered a number of 50 royal mummies, including twelve previously unknown princes and princesses, in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
All names found in the inscriptions on storage jars are related to the pharaohs Tuthmosis IV and Amenhotep III, who ruled in the 14th century BC.
The tomb was known for some time now, but it was never properly searched.
Despite several robberies and a fire, fragments of wooden coffins and textiles, as well as other burial equipment, were discovered in the site.
