Halo 5 postponed to 2015
The gaming community around the world knew that a new Halo franchise game is coming on the Xbox One, but everybody was expecting it in 2014. Microsoft and 343 Industries (Halo's developer) announced its release date was pushed to next year.
The fifth edition of the franchise will be called “Halo 5 Guardians” and it will be released on the Xbox One. “Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior fames, but we have invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One;s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen”, said Bonnie Ross, 343 Industries General manager.
He also added the game will be a bigger effort than its previous episode in everything that means Halo. However, neither 343 Industries or Microsoft confirmed if Halo 5 Guardians will have a version for the older Xbox 360.
Critics already rushed to say, Halo 5 is a new attempt by Microsoft to help and boost Xbox One sales. Estimates figures suggest that its arch-rival, Play Station 4 from Sony is winning the console race by miles. Microsoft revealed this week it will release a new cheaper version of the Xbox One without the Kinect sensor to lower its price.
