Sony's Xperia C3 will debut on the Chinese market
In untypical fashion, Sony opted for China as the first market where its Xperia C3 will be available. The Japanese company unveiled its design last month, and the phone will go on sale in a matter of days.
One of the biggest online retailers in China “JD” has already listed the device for 1,999 CNY (Chinese currency) or 230 dollars. However, the RRD for China will not be a benchmark. Most likely the handset will have an increased price in Europe because of the simple fact that China has a very competitive smartphone market and most devices are 10 to 20 percent cheaper.
Just as announced earlier this year, Sony's C3 will be available in white, black and mint colors. The specs are more than decent when compared to its price. The device packs a 5.5 inch HD display and two impressive cameras. The rear sensor had 8 megapixels, while the front has 5 and Sony claims it is great for selfies. Sony had to work to improve the front facing camera because on the Chinese market there are already numerous devices with even better froms cameras. However, Sony has an edge over its competitors because the C3 has a LED flash on the front of the phone also.
“Under the bonnet” the C3 packs a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 9GB of internal storage. The phone also runs the latest Android KitKat 4.4. Sony might have got the perfect device for the Chinese market, but how will the mid-range handset go in Europe is still a mystery.
