Valencia won the 2014 Eurocup

Valencia Basketball Club has won the 2013-2014 Eurocup after defeating two time Russian team Unics Kazan. Spanish basketball dominates Europe. After Valencia won the Eurocup. Barcelona or Real Madrid can also win the Euroleague.

Last season Valencia came one game shot of winning the second tier European basketball trophy, but the “bats made an oath to get back and win it! And they did. The Spanish team defeated Unics Kazan in game one 80-67, at home and 85-73 in Russia.

Justin Doellman was named MVP and said after the game it Valencia had a great season and thanked his team mates for providing him the opportunity to win the MVP award. “We found a good rhythm, in the past couple weeks and we were able to use it now and in the prior game so we are feeling pretty good right now, have a great chemistry and we are happy to celebrate the win,” said Doellman after the final.

The Spanish basketball league is by far the best one in Europe. Liga ACB will have 100 percent a team in Euroleague's final. Real Madrid and Barcelona will battle in the semifinals. It will be a rematch. These two arch rivals met last year in the same stage with Madrid advancing into the final.
