Sir Wiggins: I want another gold medal
Former Tour de France winner and four time Olympic gold medalist, Sir Bradley Wiggins is preparing for the Tour de France in California. “Wiggo” will try and make a run at the Olympic games in Rio 2016.
Bradley Wiggins still has some catching up to do this season. The British rider will participate at this year's Tour of California with Sky Cycling Team. After failing to enter the race last year, Wiggo wants another go at the “Grande Boucle” once again. He crosses the “pond” with Sky and will try to prepare himself in the Californian mountains.
However, he is still focused on participating in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Four time Olympic medalist said he wants his fifth and then remain in sports. “I want to go to the next Olympics, go for gold medal number five. That's the big goal for me in two years time. After that, who knows, stay involved somewhere in sports because it's been a big part of my life since I was a child so I would love to stay involved,” Wiggins said.
Although Rio Games are far away, the Tour de France 2014 is almost here. Sky Cycling Team will probably be the strongest team in the peloton yet again. 2012 winner, Bradley Wiggins and 2013 winner Chris Froome, both with the British team said they want to win it again.
