Quarterfinal table complete at Crucible

The top three seeds have qualified into the quarterfinals at the World Snooker Championship. Ronnie O'Sullivan, Neil Robertson and Mark Selby are between the final eight players to fight for the ultimate trophy at Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

The first quarterfinal brought face to face the reigning champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan and the 2005 champion, Shaun Murphy. He is regarded as Ronnie's harshest critic. He has been vocal about it in the past over Ronnie's lack of professionalism. The first session between these two will be played later today. The winner of this duel will battle the winner of the Barry Hawkins – Dominic Dale meeting in the semis.

On the other side of the entry Mark Selby and Alan McManus already started their rubber match. The duel is tied at two after four frames. The winner will face either Judd Trump, either Neil Robertson in the semifinal and there's a 50-50 possibility the semifinal will bring together second and third seeded players.

The 77th edition of the World Snooker Championship will establish its champion on the 5th of May, the last day of the Final. The tournament has a pool prize of 1.2 million Pounds of which 300,000 will go to the winner.
