Prandelli: Enthusiasm is very important

The world of football has all eyes on the World Cup in Brazil and its participants. Italy has been an always contender. “Squadra azzura” is regarded as a top five contender and a team with great chances to reach the upper stages.

Italians see themselves even better than bookmakers. Cesare Prandelli, the manager of the football team is positive Italy can reach the final. “I thing that experience is not that important as enthusiasm as the will to become a protagonist at the World Cup,” said Prandelli.

The manager also said the 23 player in the squad must all be a resource at any moment and that all of them must put individual egos aside and work as a team if they want to reach the final. “We have to focus on we, not on I. I think we can reach upper stages even if we meet strong teams along the way,” also added Prandelli.

He will name, most likely, in the 30 man provisional squad for the World Cup veterans Totti, Cassano, Toni or Aquilany, but also emerging stars like Ranocchia, Balottelli or Marchisio.
