Nets and Spurs last two to reach the semifinals

“The truth” delivered. Paul Pierce delivered a heart stopping block to lead the Brooklyn Nets into the semifinal, while the Raptors lost game seven and the home court advantage. The last team to join the semifinals was the San Antonio Spurs after defeating Dallas Maverick in game seven.

The hopes of a city and of one team to advance forward were shattered. Toronto Raptors lost game seven in front of a sold out crowd at Air Canada Center. The Nets were up 61 – 53 at half time, but the home team made a run late in the game that got them within one point and had the last shot. However, the veteran Paul Pierce denied Kyle Lowry and silenced the 20,000 spectators.

Jason Kidd became the first rookie coach to win a Game 7 in NBA history, but his work only started. His team will face in the semifinals the reigning champs, Miami heat in a best out of sever for the conference final.

San Antonio Spurs was the last team to reach the semifinals. Last year's runner up clinched game seven against the Dallas Mavericks 119 – 96. Tony Parker led the way with 32 points and will get Portland Trail Blazes into the second round.
