Neil Robertson – the 'century' master
Neil Robertson – the 'century' master
If anyone today can beat Ronnie O'Sullivan that man is Neil Robertson. The former Snooker World Champion leads Mark Allen 9-7 in the second round match at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and can only meet the reigning champ in the final.
Robertson is in the zone this season. He needs one more “century” to reach the 100 marker. A new record for a season than not even the great Stephen Hendry could reach. The Australian snooker player is regarded by bookmakers with the second chance to win the trophy. However, his duel with Mark Allen is one of the most balanced ones. With a 140 clearance and a 137 century, Robertson leads the classification regarding highest breaks. He already has six centuries and stands alone on the first position.
The third seed for this year's World Snooker Championship is Mark Selby. Former runner-up is already qualified into the quarter finals, where he will battle Allan McManus. Already into the quarters in the reigning champ Ronnie O'Sullivan and Barry Hawkins. O'Sullivan will face either Shaun Murphy or Marco Fu. The former champion leads the game 9-7.
