Nadal named adopted son of Madrid

Tennis World Number One, Rafael Nadal has been named adopted son of Madrid. Regarded as the best Spanish tennis player ever, Nadal received the title in honour of his successful tennis career.

 

He is also known as a close friend of Real Madrid football club and supporter of the Madrid ATP Masters. Madrid's Mayon Ana Botella praised Nadal. “You have the admiration and permanent and sincere affection of the entire city.

 

On the other side, Nadal was thrilled over the distinction. “It is a very special day for me. I believe in respect for my opponents, humility, discipline, hand wold and enthusiasm. These are some of the values I believe and that us how I understand not only sports but life as well,” said Nadal.

 

Rafale Nadal was born in June 1986 in the Belaric Islands. He started playing tennis at the age of four and tuner pro at 15. He is known as the “king of Clay” because of his success on the surface. He won the French Open a record eight time between 2005 and 2013. He also won The Wimbledon and US Open two times each and Australian Open once.
