Nadal goes to quarter-finals in Spain
Rafael Nadal, world number one, assured his place in the quarter-finals of the Barcelona Open with a 6-3 6-3 win against the Croatian Ivan Dodig.
One hour and 23 minutes was all that the eight-times tournament winner Nadal needed to seal his victory over the world number 37.
Now, his next match will be against fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro on Friday.
The 27-years-old champion has lost only two sets of a total of 42 matches in Barcelona, his only defeat being during his tournament debut in 2003 when compatriot Alex Corretja took the victory.
