Nadal – Berdych the battle for the quarters in Madrid Masters
Number one seed, Rafal Nadal has qualified into the last 16 stage of the ATP Masters in Madrid. Nadal knocked out Jarkko Nieminen and will battle Tomas Berdych for a place into the quarterfinals.
The “King of Clay” lost only five games to Finnish tennis player, Jarkko Nieminen. Nadal won the game 6-1/6-4. However, his adversary struggled against Grigor Dimitrov. Berdych lost the first set, 3-6, but went on and won the remaining two, 6-2/6-2 to qualify in the last 16 stage.
The biggest surprise of the tournament was produced by Colombian Giraldo Snatiago. After eliminating Joe Wilfied Tsonga in yhe second round, he knocked out Wimbledon champion Andy Murray. Giraldo won the match in consecutive sets, 6-3/6-2.
On the other side of the men's relay Number five seeded, David Ferrer will face Ernests Gublis for a place in the quarters.
