Last stop before the World Cup
The reigning World and European champion Spain is preparing for its last friendly game ahead of the World Cup in Brazil. Spain will face Bolivia at “Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan” stadium in Sevilla on friday.
The only players that were not called by Vicente Del Bosque for the friendly game are those from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. The were left to rest after heaving a tough and long season. Still, the question that bothers everyone is if Diego Costa will be fit to play in Brazil.
He suffered an injury in the final round of La Liga and he also played only eight minutes in UEFA Champions League Final. He is regarded as the number one striker in the Spanish team. “I played with him a few years in Atletico but this year he had his boom. He is one of those players that can make a difference and had an impressive year with Atletico. Hopefully he will be 100 percent ready to compete with the national team,” said David De Gea, Spain's goalkeeper.
The friendly game with Bolivia is the last chance for the players to get the ticket for the World Cup. Vicente del Bosque will name Spain's 23 men quad that will fly to Brazil.
