Heat – the first team to reach semifinals
Miami Heat is the first team to secure a spot in the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals. The reigning champions defeated Charlotte Bobcats in game four after another great performance by Lebron James.
The Heat went to Charlotte to get the job done in four games and rest as much as possible until the semifinals. Surprisingly, the Bobcats won the first two periods by one point each, 27-26 and 27-26. They even managed to win the last period by two points, 27-25. Eventually, it was not enough. Carried over by Lebron James, the Heat won the third quarter 32-17 and secured the victory.
The former MVP scored 31 points, pulled down seven rebounds and provided nine assists. Miami Heat is the only team to sweep the first round series. The reigning champions are now awaiting for an opponent. In the semifinals, they could face either Brooklyn Nets, either Toronto Raptors. The battle is tied between these two teas 2-2.
