Carlos Tevez will watch the World Cup from the stands

He is probably the biggest Argentinian name to miss the World Cup. The 30 year old striker did not convince Alejandro Sabella despite scoring 19 goals this season in Serie A and he did not catch the 30 man provisional squad.

Argentina has probably the best strikers in the world and the competitions can't get tougher than this. This is most likely the reason why Tevez did not make it. Sports critics say he had a great year. He won the championship in Italy with Juventus scoring 19 goals. The figure made him the most prolific striker in the team. It wasn't enough to get him to the World Cup in Brazil. Another Argentinian champion will also miss the World Cup. Midfielder Javier Pastore missed also the 30 man squad. He won the Ligue 1 trophy with Paris Saint Germain.

Alejandro Sabella will have to drop another striker from the provisional team but the list is absolutely mind blowing. Argentin's striker are Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Rodrigo Palacio (Internazzionale), Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli), Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris Saint Germain) and Franco Di Santo (Werder Bremen)

Check out the rest of the squad:

Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero (Sampdoria), Mariano Andujar (Catania), Agustin Orion (Boca Juniors).

Defenders: Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City), Federico Fernandez (Napoli), Ezequiel Garay (Benfica), Hugo Campagnaro (Inter Milan), Martin Demichelis (Manchester City), Marcos Rojo (Sporting Lisbon), Jose Basanta (Monterrey), Lisandro Lopez (Getafe), Gabriel Mercado (River Plate), Nicolas Otamendi (Atletico Mineiro).

Midfielders: Ricardo Alvarez (Inter Milan), Javier Mascherano (Barcelona), Jose Sosa (Atletico Madrid), Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid), Fernando Gago (Boca Juniors), Lucas Biglia (Lazio), Ever Banega (Newell's Old Boys), Augusto Fernandez (Celta Vigo), Maxi Rodriguez (Newell's Old Boys), Fabian Rinaudo (Catania), Enzo Perez (Benfica).
