Borussia denies any Barcelona deal for Reus
Marco Reus is one of the best midfielders in Germany and a was Joachim Low's weapon of choice for the World Cup in Brazil. However, Reus injured his ankle in the last friendly Germany sustained before heading to Brazil and will miss the final tournament.
Betting on the injury, FC Barcelona pushed on to snatch Reus. Last month the 25 year old midfielder said he will be with the German club one more year. “It's safe to say I will be playing for Borussia Dortmund also in the 2014-2015 season. Basically I do not need to stress all the time that I am feeling great being with the club. As far as leaving Borussia that is no issue for me, and I am not affected by it,” said Reus.
However, in the light of the last injury, Reus allegedly changed his mind. According to Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Reus made a verbal agreement to join Barcelona who will now make a 35 million euro offer to Borussia Dortmund for Reus. The German club released yesterday a statement saying Reus is not for sale no mater the amount rumored.
Marco Reus had 16 goals for Borussia Dortmund in the 2013 – 2014 season which brough him the fourth position in the top scorers classification and he clinched the number one spot for most assists in the entire championship with 14.
