Bale: We were able to exploit our speed

Although not scoring, Gareth Bale was one of the best players Real Madrid had last night in the 4-0 victory over Bayern Munich. The Welshman was constantly harassing the German defense and provided the assist for the third goal.

Bale's speed was to much to handle for the Germans. The striker was on a constant run, helping the defense, but also sprinting and creating chances for his team mates. He managed to proved an assist for the third goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Welshman was happy about his performance, but also said Real Madrid has one more step to go and only then he will celebrate. “We always find spaces on the counterattack which we like. We have quick players and we were able to exploit that. It was a great performance, we are happy to be in the final now, but we still have one step to go,” said Bale after the game.

Bale had a consistent performance with Real Madrid in this season of UEFA Champions league scoring five times and providing four assists. Real Madrid is one of the best teams when it comes to assist this season. Angel di Maria has five as well as Karim Benzema, while Cristiano Ronaldo is tied with Bale at four.
