
Best payed coaches at the World Cup
Hours before the Football World Cup debut, media made up a list containing all the coaches involved in the final tournament and their salaries. Turns out, Russia's Fabio Capello leads the chart, while at the bottom sits Mexico's Miguel Herrera.
Britain's former and current coach lead the top ten. Fabio Capello, now in charge of Russia's national team is rewarded 6,693,750 Pounds per year. It is by far the largest salaries of all World Cup managers. England's Roy Hodgson is second with exactly 3,500,000 million Pounds while the top three is completed by Cesare Prandelli. Italy's coach has a 2,575,000 million Pounds salary per year.
Surprisingly, Vicente de Bosque, Spain's and reigning World Cup manager is only seventh with 2,017,500 million Pounds per year. He is outscored by Brazil's Luiz Felipe Scolari and Germany's Joachim Low. Jurgen Klinsmann is the last manager to clinch the top ten. USA's manager has a salary of 1,562,000 Pounds per year.
At the bottom of the charts the figures are incredibly small. Bosnia's Safet Susic earns 210,000 Ponds per year, Croatia's Niko Kovac is the first one to go under the 200,000 Pounds marker with 161,875. Ghana's manager James Kwesi Appiah has a 150,000 Ponds per year salary while the smallest annual remuneration goes to Miguel Herrera. Mexico's coach has a 125,000 pounds salary.
Comparing the first and last salary, Fabio Capello earns in six days and a few hours the same amount of money Miguel Herrera in an entire year.
