Microsoft unveiled its new Surface Pro 3 hybrid

Microsoft decided to replace the laptop a few years ago when it first launched the Surface tablet. The American tech giant is closer than ever in doing so with its new Surface Pro 3 released yesterday.

The announcement was made hours ago in New York City by Microsoft officials. Their new device really has two faces and it can shift from one to the other in a matter of seconds. The hybrid tablet has a 12 inch Full HD display.

Its specs are worthy of a pro laptop. The device is powered by a fourth gen Intel Core i7 quad core processor and a maximum of 8 GB RAM. The battery is pretty decent. Microsoft claims it will last about nine hours while Web browsing. The whole package is 9.1 mm thick and weighs 800 grams.

The cool thing about it is its click in keyboard. Whenever you are done using it as a table and you have to or need to write a few lines, you just have to click in the keyboard(which by the way is fantastic) and that's it. The device also has a multi-position kickstand so it will satisfy any user. The Surface Pro 3 runs Windows 8.1 and it will set any customer back about 799 US Dollars for the low end specs, while the same device packed with the most powerful specs will cost more than 1,500 dollars.

Pre-ordering the device starts today and the device will be offered in multiple configurations regarding its processors (Intel Core i3, i5 and i7), internal storage and RAM memory. Intel claims by the end of August, Surface Pro 3 will be available in 26 new markets such as China, Australia, Finland, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand or UK.
