Epic releases the first Unreal Tournament gameplay trailer
Unreal Tournament enthusiasts and nostalgics will be thrilled. Despite announcing the comeback of the famous shooter less than a month ago, Epic Games revealed the first deathmatch gameplay trailer.
Don't get carried away. In its current state, the game is rough, with a battle arena composed out of a few gray blocks and a skybox. That's about it regarding the arena. Weapon classes are currently missing the only one featured is the Shock Rifle. Epic Games has even confirmed that the content of the game will become a priority over the next period.
The first footage of the gameplay features some of the developers that look to be having fun playing the game. The new Unreal will bring back some of the old weapon classes obviously revised for 2014 standards and implement a few new ones.
Unreal Tournament is set to be released as a free, multiplayer game on PC for Windows, Mac and Linux which is built using Epic's Unreal Engine 4. Developers already said the game will be developed with the help of enthusiast games and FPS community.
Unreal's senior designer Nick Donaldson called the rough deathmatch a “very basic movement prototype”, but check out the video here:
