US-Russia dispute leads to double dinner for Hollande
The present crisis in Ukraine and the tensions built around Russian President Vladimir Putin have an unexpected outcome for French President, Francois Hollande.
The political turmoil will result in a full belly for the French President as he will have two separate dinners on Thursday night to celebrate the 70-year D-Day celebration: the first with US President Barack Obama and the second with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The two will not dine together and could even be received in separate locations so any possibility of them meeting will be avoided.
The US and Russian presidents are part of a 18-guest list who are to visit France in honor of the World War II landings. Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, will also be attending.
'I will never forget that the Russian people gave millions of lives,' said Hollande regarding Putin's attendance.
