Thailand military coup gets more military
The political situation in Thailand, after the military coup, is starting to become military in nature, too.
Dozens of politicians and leaders have already been arrested, the constitution has been suspended, the Senates, the last standing functioning legislature, has been closed, the media is being censored and any citizen that intends to stand against orders coming from the military will be tried in a military court.
As the economic and social situation were already out of balance due to the last six months of anti-government protests, now questions arise regarding citizen safety and political stability. Many wonder even if Thailand is safe for tourists any more.
