
Putin reinforces China alliance
Russian President, Vladimir Putin, arrived today in Shanghai for a two-days visit meant to establish political and economical ties amidst recent Western criticism.
Putin is to attend an Asian security summit. During the same period, Russia and China naval forces perform joint naval drills in the East China Sea.
Putin's China agenda also includes signing a gas deal with Beijing.
This visit represents President Putin's first journey to China since President Xi Jinping became head of state.
