Obama rushes Putin to act responsibly
During a visit in Warsaw, Poland, US President Obama urged Vladimir Putin to make the neccessary steps to rebuild the trust between the West and Russia that has shattered due to the recent political turmoil in Ukraine and Crimea.
Obama mentioned that Putin has to continue withdraw Russian troops from near the Ukrainian border, convince pro-Russian separatists to halt the string of violent attacks in eastern Ukraine and support the newly-elected Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko.
'I think it is possible for us to try to rebuild some of the trust that has been shattered,' but it will take 'quite some time' warned Obama, with the condition that Russia shows 'responsible behavior.'
The US president ic currently in Europe for a three-country visit meant to strengthen the relations between NATO member countries.
His speech in Poland came a day after pro-Russian separatists launched a deadly attack on a border command center near Luhansk in what is supposed to be an attempt to create a passage to Russia.
