Obama admits defeat in Afghanistan
After disclosing a new timeline for the US military troops retreat from Afghanistan, President Obama also confessed to not being able to win against the Talibans.
'This is how wars end in the twenty-first century', he said.
Many, however, are not sure about what the end of the war means as 10,000 deployed troops are still lingering on in Afghanistan, with no clear goals or missions, feeling that the 2016 withdrawal deadline is something more arbitrary than clear and definite.
Still, the rest of Americans see the retreat as a good thing since the war has taken so much from them, including a lot of money, and gave so little rewards in return: 'The war against the Taliban is not one that the US believes it can win, so we're going to stop trying,' adding that Americans grew tired of the whole military operation.
