Moscow denies its presence at Ukraine's borders
Moscow denied the NATO information about the presence of Russian troops at border of Ukraine, on Thursday, saying that the images presented by NATO date from August 2013, a representative of the Russian General Staff declared.
NATO published 15 images on Thursday, taken by a satellite, demonstrating that Russia has deployed 'massive effective' along its border with Ukraine, and stated that the photos were taken in early April 2014.
"The images presented by NATO are Russian troops that were conducting military exercises in southern Russia last summer (2013), near the border with Ukraine, including," said the representative of the Russian General Staff, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He said that the images were taken during the 'Combat Commonwealth 2013' international military exercises
According to NATO, between "35,000 and 40,000 troops are stationed in over 100 temporary bases near the eastern border of Ukraine".
