Increased security during Ukraine's presidential election
The Ukrainian government plans to deploy approximately 75,000 troops around the country, hoping to keep Sunday's presidential election away from any unwanted incidents.
By electing a new president, the Kiev gorvernment wants to finally bring stability and legitimacy back in the country.
The two main candidates are confectionery tycoon Petro Poroshenko and former premier Yulia Tymoshenko.
Uncertainty persists on whether the Ukrainian in east, where the rebellion epicenter in located, will participate in the voting session.
One woman says that people were forbidden to vote in the Donetsk region: 'I am from Slovyansk in Donetsk and although we have been forbidden to vote in our town, me and my family hope to travel to Kharkov region and vote there.'
However, the one fact that is clear is that people want the string of violence to be brought to an end after this vote: ' We want to vote, no doubt about that. We want to follow the message coming from the people here in Maidan Square that we have had enough of being on our knees and that we want to regain our dignity,' said one man.
