
Biden visits Romania to reinforce NATO unity
American Vice President, Joe Biden, will be making a trip to Europe next week. His destination is Bucharest, Romania, where he will stop to discuss the Ukraine crisis.
Biden is to meet with Traian Basescu, the Romanian President, and with the Romanian and the US military troops which are undergoing a joint military exercise. In addition, he plan to give a speech to Romanian civil and youth leaders.
The visit aims at reinforcing the unity between NATO and its allies amid increasing concerns regarding a Russian invasion in Ukraine.
After Romania, Biden's next visit will will be to Cyprus where he will meet with Turkish and Greek Cypriot leaders.
