Arab monarchs reach an agreement
Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain have reached an agreement with Qatar, ending a diplomatic crisis provoked by attempts of Qatar to engage in the internal affairs of the other three monarchs.
The agreement was concluded between the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council states (GCC) during a meeting in the air base of Riyadh, the GCC said in a statement.
On 5 March, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain decided to recall the ambassadors from Qatar, Doha accusing authorities of meddling in the internal affairs of their neighbors, an unprecedented move in the relations between the Arab countries and the Golf.
The three states have accused Qatar of not conforming with the commitment in November, to not get involved in the internal affairs of its neighbors and not support actions that could threaten the stability of these countries.
