Ankara is investigating a leak of information on Turkey's policy in Syria

An Ankara prosecutor opened an investigation into the conditions under which the recording of a meeting in which Turkish officials raised the possibility of a military intervention in Syria, was published Thursday on the Internet, reported the Turkish media on Friday.

This 'disclosure', produced three days before Sunday's municipal elections, prompting the Turkish government to block the YouTube platform.

In recent weeks, several entries of the government, of the Islamic compromising-conservative and the Turkish Prime Minister, were published on the Internet.

A Youtube recording released on Thursday shows a secret meeting, between the Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, and the chief of intelligence (MIT), Hakan Fidan, evoking the scenario of a secret operation designed to justify Turkey's military intervention in Syria.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has denied organizing a meeting on the subject, but said that part of the record was 'manipulated'.

The revelation angered the Prime Minister, who denounced the " despicable, cowardice amd immoral act" and promised that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

"Most likely, it is an act of espionage," Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said on Friday. "Only the regime (Syria) can benefit from such an act," he added.

Just like other records that were published on the Internet in the recent weeks, Prime Minister Erdogan accused, without a direct call, all the former preacher Fethullah Gülen's movement allies installed in the United States that are at the origin of this disclosure, within a 'conspiracy' aimed on compromising the Turkish Government.

Despite the ban on Thursday, the Turkish Telecommunications Authority (TIB) ordered that the YouTube platform will continue to be available Friday, in Turkey.

After last week's decision regarding the closure of Twitter, the YouTube extent measure provoked criticism, especially in Brussels and Washington.
