Tech giants reach agreement in court case
World tech giants, Apple, Google, Intel and Adobe settled a class-action court case in which the four firms were accused of conspiring to hold down workers’ salaries by means of a no-poaching act.
The companies would not steal employees from each other and, therefore, workers would not be able to receive any better offers and, ultimately, increase his or her salary.
Had they lost the court case, Apple, Google, Intel and Adobe would have had to pay $3 billion in damages on behalf of all 64,000 workers. Moreover, under the strict US antitrust laws, the sum could have even tripled to $9 billion.
Although the forms settled the case, they did not disclose any details regarding their agreement.
