Russian tanker wins over Greenpeace
Greenpeace activists have failed in their mission to stop Russian oil tanker, ‘Mikhail Ulyanov’, from delivering its first oil shipment from the state-owned Gazprom oil platform in the Arctic circle.
The Dutch police stormed the Greenpeace ship, thus allowing the tanker to drop anchor in the Rotterdam port.
Greenpeace opposes any drilling in the Arctic circle as oil spill may be catastrophic to the sensitive ecosystem there.
