Russia and China seal 30-year gas deal
A 30-year gas deal has been finalised between Russia and China, worth over 290 billion euros.
Moscow finally managed to seal the deal with Beijing over gas supply delivery after, yesterday, signs of disagreement between the two parties were rumored to have halted the proccess.
Moscow has been eager to find a new client as its main European market has begun to search for alternative methods to ensure its gas neccessary as a sanction method over Russia's latest geopolitical actions in Crimea and Ukraine.
Also, the deal has been delayed for over a decade due to Moscow's price demands.
Gazprom will deliver gas starting with 2018 via a pipeline that connects the Siberian gas fields to China's main cities near the coast.
