Online publicity exceeded TV
Online advertising market amounted up to $42.8 billion in 2013, 17% up from 2012, according to the latest data provided by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
The online industry surpassed the $40.1 billion attracted by the TV advertising for the first time. Mobile advertising increased by 110% to $7.1 billion from $3.4 billion in 2012.
The retail business continues to cover most of the online advertising, 21% of the total, according to the IAB. Financial sector invests 13% of the total , followed closely by the auto sector (12%).
The display represented $12.8 billion of the total, equivalent to 30%, digital video $2.8 billion (19%), up 19% compared to 2012.
