More whiskey, the world demands
By some unknown combination of factors, people worldwide have suddenly started taking in more whiskey than they have in previous years.
Brown-Forman, one of the world's top spirits brands, says its sales increased by as much as 6 percent worldwide in just 12 months, mostly thanks to the 8 percent global rise in sales of it's most notorious drink, Jack Daniels.
The highest demand for American spirits comes from France, Germany, Russia, Turkey and Brazil, in particular.
But just why people began to develop a taste for whiskey is unclear though some call it the Mad Men effect.
