Man builds dream house with $9000

Steve Areen built a dome house in just six weeks, using almost entirely natural materials and the total cost of construction was under $9,000.

The rules are not so strict in Thailand, so Steve did not need approvals for construction, which has shortened the construction time. For some issues, such as water heating and lighting, the ingenious man still had to resort to conventional methods such as electricity plants.

The dome is the first house built by Steve Areen, but he already has plans for a new one in a location near Oregon. He wants to use more durable materials this time, such as a certain types of brick made of clay.
