European car industry going well
Auto industry showed some improved figures since the beginning of the year and recorded growing sales. Month by month the biggest car makers revealed increasing numbers and the trend is going up.
Volkswagen, the biggest car maker in Euro reported, once again, a great early 2014. Probably the most renowned VW, the Golf sold almost 50,000 units in April. This translates into a 15 percent increase than the same period of 2013. The German manufacturer reported more than 180,000 vehicles were delivered since the beginning of the year. About 25,000 more units than a year ago.
The second spot was clinched by Ford with its Fiesta model. The design recorded a 21 percent increase with 29,000 units sold, while Ford delivered close to 115,000 units in the first quarter. The final place on the podium was snatched by Renault with the iconic Clio. More than 26,000 Clios were sold, but all around Renault is the firs car maker to call a decease in sales in the first quarter.
Germany leads the way when it comes to new vehicles bought in the first part of the year. Germans bought more than 270,000 units from January to April. The top three was completed by UK and France, both countries reporting figures close to 170,000 new units sold.
