China's economy is growing
China's economy grew by 7.4% in the first quarter over the corresponding period of last year. This is the most moderate economic growth rhythm in the past year and a half, says Bloomberg.
The evolution exceeded economists' expectations, anticipating a growth of 7.3%. Industrial production and fixed asset investment have evolved under analysts' estimates. The increase in the investment in real estate was the weakest since 2009, signaling more difficult access to credit and declining demand, wrote Bloomberg on Tuesday.
The main index of the Shanghai Stock Exchange rose with 0.3% on Wednesday, while the yuan has not varied significantly. Asian markets were up 1%, while European stocks opened more. China's economic growth slowed from 7.7% in the fourth quarter of the last year.
