Central and Eastern Europe journalists in China

 

A number of 46 journalists from Romania, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia began, on Tuesday, an eight-day visit to China, at the invitation of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

 

 

The hosts held, on Wednesday, a welcoming reception for the journalists, at which the head of Europe Department Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary General of the Executive Secretariat, Liu Haixing and diplomats accredited in Beijing and other 16 countries participated.

 

 

Haixing Liu said that this year, a series of events related to the Sino- East Central European collaboration and session coordinators for cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe will take place, the second edition of the meeting between the regional leaders from China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Ministerial Meeting for trade cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the exhibition of products from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Also, the Fair for Small and Medium enterprises will have reserved open spaces in the region.

 

 

Journalists took part on Wednesday morning at a symposium organized by the Public Diplomacy in China, where they exchanged views with the Vice President of the Association, Lu Fengding and former Chinese ambassador to Warsaw, Sun Yuxi , about public diplomacy and relations between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Foreign journalists were present on Wednesday afternoon at a regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry, where they held talks with Chen Mingming and Zhang Yuanyuan of the Advisory Committee for Public Diplomacy Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
