Bulgaria, the place to be for businesses
If you are a motivated entrepreneur or an ascending company, you might consider joining the new business trend and re-locate to Bulgaria.
EU's poorest country, Bulgaria, is attracting waves of foreign direct investments since 2009 due to its average cost of labour and low real estate prices.
Workers in the Bulgarian industry receive an hourly wage of only 3.4 euros while the average across the EU is somewhere around 24.60 euros per hour.
'The overall tax burden for companies in Bulgaria is one of the lowest in the European Union. On top of that, we have the investment promotion act, so companies that get certified with us, they can get even further benefits, like, for example, the social security reimbursement,' explained Kostadin Djatev, Deputy Executive Director of Bulgaria’s Foreign Investment Agency.
There are, however, some drawbacks that might affect investor, such as the rigid bureaucracy and poor infrastructure.
