Beats links its headsets with the World Cup

Beats was already a big name in the music industry because of its affiliation with famous raper Dr.Dre. The brand became even more renowned world wide after tech giant Apple bought it for 3 billion dollars.

 

Beats products have always been linked to sports figures, especially basketball players in the US, but new, with the Football World Cup so close Beats change sides and released this 5 minute add called “The game before the game”.

 

The video features the biggest names in football and it is all about the preparation and the moments before a game of such intensity the World Cup will offer. It reveals players and their rituals. Some kiss good luck charms, some talk on the phone, while some get on their knees and pray but every single one of them seek for strength in music. And who's providing the music? Beats of course.

 

“The game before the game” features Brazilian star Neymar jr, but also Cest Fabregas, Chicharito Hernandes, Daniel Sturridge, Lusi Suarez, Mario Gotze, Robin van Persie, Lebron James and others. The strong images were coupled with X Ambassadors & Jamie N Commons' “Jungle” for a stronger impact.

 

 

Beats' campaign premiered yesterday and the add was released in five different languages across nine countries. The add also has a hidden tip of their latest creations: Solo 2 and Studio headsets. The first one comes in at 199 dollars, while the second one is 299 dollars. Apple and Beats could not have picked a better timing for the launch of the add and possibly their devices.
