Apple profit increased
Apple's net profit rose in the first three months of the year by 7% to $10.2 billion, while revenues were up 4.7% to $45.6 billion, due to higher sales of iPhones, the company said, which also increased the reward shareholders program.
Apple entered, starting this year, in a distribution agreement with China Mobile, the largest mobile operator globally by number of customers, which introduced the iPhone in the offer.
Wall Street analysts expected a profit of $9.1 billion and revenue of $43.5 billion.
Sales of iPhones rose in the first three months of this year by 17% to 43.7 million units, compared to 37.43 million in the corresponding period last year.
