The wait for LG's G3 is over!

LG made it official! Its newest flagship device will be unveiled on May 27, so less than a month away. The Korean electronics manufacturer will launch the smartphone simultaneous on three continents.

Although it made it official, LG has not confirmed the name of the new gadget saying it will be the next “big global device after G2”. Tech enthusiasts rushed to say the device will most likely be called the G3. LG will launch the smartphone simultaneous on the 27 in London, New York and San Francisco, and a day after, or a few hours depending on tine zone, in Singapore, Seoul and Istanbul.

The invite card sent out by LG features a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson (American poet) saying “To be simple is to be Great” with a capital and highlighted G. The quote was displayed on a dark metal look surface and tech enthusiasts said it could mean the phone will be made out of premium materials.

LG critics said the flagship comes to late with the Galaxy S5, Xperia Z2 and the HTC One M8 already on the market and doing well. Will the Korean manufacturer be able to close the gap? Most of the specs will not be better or worse than what competition has except for a few minor ones. The most squeamish display enthusiasts will certainly love the QHD display (leaving behind all three existing top of the line devices). Allegedly the phone will feature a water and dust resistant body (the same as the three competitors) and 3 GB of RAM (better than Xperia Z2, One M8 and S5). Whatever the outcome will be, one thing is certain. LG's masterpiece will see the light on the 27th of May.
