The largest video collection in the world is up for sale
Hard-core gamers warship Michael Thomasson. The 43 year old American from Buffalo, new York is the owner of the largest video game collection in the world. More the 11,000 titles became up for sale after Thomasson decided to sell it.
Thomasson remembered his fist game was “Cosmic Avenger” that he received in 1981 when he was only 12 years old. His collection grew to insane figures. Last year he was certified by Guinness World Record for owning a video game collection larger that anyone else has on Earth. However, due to family commitments as he claims he decided to offer the collection for sale.
The entire collection (in excess of 11,000 titles) went up on auction side Game Gavel a few days ago with a starting bid of one dollar. However, gamers rushed to outbid each other and the figures have surpassed 50,000 dollar already. The deadline of the auction is set on June 15th and the biggest bidder will take home a masterpiece of a collection.
The entire collection is said to be worth between 700,000 and 800,000 dollars.
