Snapchat's new update 'is here'

Facebook messenger and WhatsApp have a new rival on the market. Snapchat announced it has introduces text chats and video calls features on its messaging platform. The update will be available soon in both Play and App Store.

The two new features are not so new, but good old fashion chatting “must”. However the instant video call feature may change the nature of the app. Snapchat supports now instant text messages, photo chatting and even real time videos from you camera.

The app got a new button also. It's button the the button of the screen and when it turns blue it means your recipient is in the chat screen, so most likely reading your message. If one user hits the blue scree a call starts up and if the other users taps the button also a video call starts up with both ends visible. The clever thing about it the possibility of changing what any users sees between rear and front facing cameras (if the device has two cameras).

Tech critics say the text chat is a major step for Snapchat users and the only question now is will those user appreciate the new features. Snapchat is no longer an app for instant photo chatting, but a full scale, all out chatting app.
