Lenovo ThinkPad 10 tablet has a face
Business focused tablet users will soon have a new “must have” device. Lenovo announced recently a new ThinkPad tablet called the “10”. It's not hard to guess that the name comes from its display size.
Lenovo's Australian site already features the ThinkPad 10 and it's details, but the price is still unknown. The specs are no longer rumors, but facts. The new ThinkPad will feature a 10.1 inch 1,920 by 1,200 display with 180 degree viewing angles support.
The device will be powered by a quad-core processor manufactured by Intel, but the speeds were not revealed yet. The ThinkPad 10 will be available at launch with 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. However, the Chinese giant electronics manufacturer confirmed it will later launch a 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage model. Other high-end options are listed as “coming soon”.
The ThinkPad 10 win be running Windows 8.1 32-bit versions, but later models will also feature the 64-bit version. Every single model will benefit a 8 Megapixel rear camera and a 2 front camera (both developed for great conference capabilities), a microphone, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Lenovo claims the battery will power the tablet for 10 hours.
The ThinkPad series was already good and everyone expects the new device to fill the gap. However, the price was not disclosed by Lenovo. Tech specialists say if the ThinkPad 8 went on for sale for 399 us dollars, the new and larger device will top 500 dollars.
